Help with signature ID
« on: August 04, 2011, 07:46:45 PM »
Does anyone know whose signature this is or what that last letter is?
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

Suzkat,
WBS? William B. Stapleton son of James Stapleton? Huntingdon County? Just a shot in the dark. He was pretty late, 1880's.

Could be.  I've seen a similar treatment around a signature on
another Huntington rifle.
