« on: August 18, 2011, 05:01:13 AM »
I was asked to see if I could make a container to keep patches in for in the shooting pouch .. So between making flat horns and cups I came up with this ..The base is 1 3/4" diameter the opening is 1 5/8" diameter the depth of the container is 5/8" friction fit lid ..

It looks like you turned a recess w/ shoulder for the top and bottom, but what (if anything) did you use for an adhesive?   I made a similar box years ago after (if I remember right) Jim Hanson showed me one, but I tried to pin the top and bottom.  Needless to say, it all split out.

Great item for the other style cap shooters. AJ   PS. That style will never catch on.

Sorry I has taken me so long to get back with you been busy ..there is no adhesive used at all it is all done with heat and pressure and very close detail to making sure everything to exact measurements ..they are fun to make

Interesting.  I can see how it would work, and have done similar with wood--but wood blanks are considerably easier to obtain than decent horn!  I'll have to play with it sometime when I have the right horn blanks.

thanks!
