D. Mack builder

I just got a magnificent longrifle. It is signed D. Mack 1984 #28. Does anyone have any info on him?

There was a D. Mack from Massillon Ohio that made some guns in the 1980s. I shoot at Canal Fulton ramrod club, just up the road. A fellow shooter had him make a couple guns for him. Very nice workmanship, but I guess he was a very odd fellow to deal with. Not sure if he`s still above ground or not.

This rifle is dated 1984 and is also engraved #28 so he made a few rifles. the workmanship is very very good. I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow.

Here are some pictures. The barrel is 42 inches  .50 caliber rifled. The wood to metal fit is exceptional and the carving crisp.
