Question about E. Christopher Firearms, Miamitown, OH?

Back in 1988 i purchased a flint rifle at E. Christopher Firearms. They are long since out of business. I am looking for someone who may have sold their guns through them. No makers name on it. Thanks for any help. I will try to post pics later if it may help.

I spent a lot of Sunday afternoons at E. Christopher in the 70s and 80s.  If you post some pictures, or PM me offline, I will try to help.

Bill got a lot of used rifles in on trade - but by the late 80s he was selling very few new pieces by local gunmakers, so it may be a long shot. If I recall, it was shortly after that they moved from the big building right on Rt. 128 to the tiny shop around the corner, and Bill sort of got out of the day to day running of the shop, and they were not buying and selling many longrifles in that era.

Wow, that's a name I never thought I'd hear again!  I grew up near Miamitown, and would occasionally get to run into E. Christopher Firearms as a boy while my mom went to the bank or post office.  Of course all I could do was drool, because I never had any money to buy anything.

A little info about E. Christopher and Son.   The guy that ran the shop was Bill Bram.   It just so happens that when Bob
Paris (The company we bought in 1977), had any extra barrels he would sell them to E. Christopher, or Ramrod Gun &
Knife.   We went into business in June of 77, and decided to go to Friendship in August of that year.    We were approached by Bill Bram, and he said "yeah, we heard about you two guys buying all the Paris  equipment, well, you're
going to have to prove yourself for me".   He ruined my first visit to Friendship, and I never liked the guy after that.  I;m
not sure, but I don't think I ever made a barrel for him.   A very brash individual..........................Don

Some things are hard to forget, but I would say that over the years you and John have proven yourselves to a lot of people.

He certainly was brash, I can't disagree with Don there, but the E. Christopher Firearms ad in the Cincinnati newspaper before Christmas 1972 or 73, for CVA kits is what got me hooked.  It turned a childhood curiosity about flintlocks into a lifelong hobby.

The parts for my first rifle, that I still shoot, came from E. Christopher Firearms.

In that general time period or a little earlier most if not all of the new flintlocks Bill sold were made by Wil Kester of Oxford Oh.,who died in an auto accident about 5 years ago.Most of the stocks were seconds Bill would pickup at Friendship.
I too spent allot of time at the shop,that's were I first meet "G Man" Guy
