Wow! I might have not been surprised to see such a "Southern Mountain" poor boy from Southeast Ohio (which is still in Appalachia), but from way up north there it definitely seems (to my mind) out of place!

I hear ya Chris! I don't think original poor boys are all that rare. I have run across a couple more just since this thread started. They are what I would call the "beaters" of history. Pretty much used up and perfect for the mantle or display wall.
