Looking for info on a O B Vandenburgh long rifle
« on: November 13, 2011, 11:11:20 PM »
My father in law gave us a O B Vandenburgh 45 cal long rifle, made in Findlay, Ohio- which I believe is from 1865.
It has a double trigger (with trigger guard I believe) , iron back and front sites, in great condition and does fire.
I can't find much information on this gun on the internet and would appreciate any info I can get on it.

Don't know how to upload pictures of the gun as I am a new member.
Does anyone think it was used in the Civil War?

The renowned expert on Findlay, Ohio gunsmith O.B. Vandenburg is Clark Frazier of Rawson, Ohio. He's located many of them. He's the guy you need to talk to about your rifle.
