« on: December 27, 2011, 05:09:51 PM »
I have completed my new hat blank edgeing an liner, an now need to lace the hat in the stand up tricorn shape. I found out that the black laceing go's thru the side, then the crown of the hat, making a permanent shape, but before i do that, i need to know if the alliance cockade with button, is attached with same length of lace as side,or second (smaller) piece used?Is the button sewn to crown, or  the flap, an then buttoned thru the side flap with lace around the button an thru crown?? can anybody help me??? I am stuck finishing the hat.thanks..........................sonny

I would sew it to the brim of the hat with linen.
