Shooting Bag
« on: December 24, 2011, 08:08:33 PM »
This is a bag I made a while back, it's been sold. I wish I had more pictures of it, didnt get one of the back.
The body, flap and inside pocket are made from German tan. The top and strap are cow hide. Buckle and rings are forged iron the button hand made copper. The liner is hand wove linen and all stitched by hand with linen thread, I even lined the pocket. Died with walnut and waxed.

That's a great little bag. Made with love and care. Makes me want to build a horn and knife to go with it. What a wonderful Christmas gift that would be.

Thanks guys.

A fellow bought it for a gift, for his self I think. I hope it has already been in woods.

I make all straps long and stuff the tail in the ring to keep them from flapping around. After seeing the bag on David's site with the button and loop on the back, I think on the next one I will move the buckle down and add the loop.

German tan is very soft, the liner helps keep the bag from being baggy. Plus lined bags are just nice to use.

Marry Christmas.

Nice bag- I sure like the attchament system. The rings allow a long starter and easy hanging place, just shove it through the ring and it's captured.

J, Crazy Crow sells it. It's like brain tan but not. Red Stag hide is my guess.

You can get it white, got no use for it, or unbleached tan color. Looks a lot like brain tan after it is smoked or died. About 1/2 price of brain tan.
