You might do a Google search on Walter at Bay Village,Ohio (I think). Or you might contact the Kindigs at Log Cabin Sport Shop,Lodi,Ohio and see if they know if Walter is still active. Their Ph.# is 1-800-837-1082.They might even have a trigger made by Walter for sale.
I used to get requests to make a mechanism for the Germanic locks and I always referred these to Walter and even had him send me some business cards so I could tell others where he was. He is a fine craftsman and the work he did with the Siler locks (rollered frizzen etc) was excellent. He is worth the effort to try and find.

Bob,
I was told by someone at Dixon's this past summer that Walter passed away.   Was this wrong info?

The best way to find out is call Jimmy Kline in Michigan. He will know for sure.

Bill...........when this question came up, my first thought was that he passed away.   I'm not sure about this.   He sure did
some nice locks and triggers in his time...............Don

I just got off the phone with Dan Kindig and he said that Walter was into some sort of a dementia, maybe Alzheimers. He wasn''t sure if he was still alive. I did a Google search and got the usual "Ring around the Rosie"BS from that outfit.
Either way if true ,death or dementia, another fine craftsman is no longer working and that is the bad part.

Thanks for all the info.   It was Troy Roope, this past summer at Dixons,  who told me he heard he died.  I was thinking and hoping someone took over making his triggers.

Thanks again,
Bill
