Double set trigger thickness

On occasion there is a need to remove material/bend the sear and/or remove material from the trigger bars to allow cocking the lock without the need to set the rear trigger first.. So.. With a properly tuned lock and tensioned triggers what would be the upper limit allowed for material removal from the height of the trigger bars..
I've seen some thin stuff on some of these new 3/4" .25's...

Just wondering
Thanks
Regards
Dave

Too many variables to even guess at.Each is a case unto itself on any hand made gun.
