Another Target
« on: March 01, 2012, 11:14:05 PM »

Left hand target shot w/the new beastie and target tells much of the story.... Shot at 55 yds rest on a fine day for shooting. First 3 shots used 65 3 f goex .495  .016 spit patch. Group of 3 shots was open.  Immediate change was to go to 75 gr same powder and changed nothing else.  5th shot hit the map pin holding the white spotter.  That's where the splatter came from.  That made a 50 and 2.    Dragged the target out to 100 yds and the photo tells that story also..The x'd ball hole was on the target before.

Looking good, Roger - nothing like a bit more powder to tighten things up. I agree with LB.  For 100yards, 100gr. to 110gr. 2F - might just shoot similar to the 75gr. 3F at 50!!  The 2 off to the left usually denotes a bit of breeze out there, or maybe light change in seeing the sights, etc. Nothing serious though - they are close together which is meaningful- maybe - but, I would try 2F - it just takes a bit more of it to do it's work.

I know my .47 chunk rifle demands 2 F, so that will be the next move.
