A small but nice event
« on: February 27, 2012, 05:01:15 AM »
For the life of me I can not remember the name of the event, but it was a show i decided to do as some of the event planners were old friends of my father and they asked if i would come.  It was at a Gun Club in Columbia, PA.  I took along some horn, wood and the lathe and spent the day turning and talking and overall just having a good time.  A bonus was that my father went along and it is the first time in a looong time we got to do an event together and just talk.  And Low and behold!!  Ran in to a few people we all know and love...alright that we know... ;) :D

I will let the pictures speak for themselves and hopefully Kris Polizzi can remember the name of the show or club as all of my stuff is still in the truck awaiting me for after work tomorrow!
More pics to come too (tomorrow) of the items completed at the show.

The set-up and my father in his usual position (sorry Dad)

Sparks Mumma's table

Reeves Goehring's table

All I can say it was a real pleasure to finally meet this talented young lady.  Her and her husband are really nice, down-to-earth people and the quality of her work is incredible.  Plan on seeing some of Kris' straps adorning my horns in the future.  Although i will have to step up my craftsmanship a bit to compliment the strap.

And, Yours truly at the lathe doing what I do...

We were very glad to finally get to meet you too! It was so great to watch you work, your patience with the kiddos does you much credit. And your work is superb! The show was the Columbia Fish & Game Black Powder Open House. Like you said, it's small, but a really nice show to get to. Hope to see you both there next year. Mrs Jerry P.

Good to see some faces to names.  I just got a couple of Kris' straps, and they are terrific.  I really like the way she did the Viet Nam colors on one of the straps.  If you want a custom strap, Kris is a great craftsperson.
