Has anyone had contact with Jeff in England about custom molds? I have tried several times to email him with no response.

Yes! I just got a mould from him within the last two weeks. He always wrote right back. If you used the email link off his website it should be correct.  jeff@ballmoulds.co.uk   Maybe he's on "holiday" for a spell. 

BTW, the mould works very well too once you get used to the sprue staying attached when you open the mould.

I had similar reservations about the lack of sprue cutter but his mold makes a better ball than any others I have had.  You don't need to buy the sprue cutters he sells, I saw a similar set in the clear-out table at my local cheap chinese tool store recently.  I bought his cutter when I ordered a mold from him and they work well.  

 He was very fast getting the order to me after it was placed.

I have one of his molds that I like quite well. I purchased a cheap pair of side cutters and ground the bottom flush with the cutting edge and then ground a releif on the top side, this cuts close and as the lead is soft high quality tools are not needed.

I will unfortunately add a negative response about Jeff's molds. I orderd a .585 for a .60 cal. Getz barrel. The mold I recieved cast a ball that was .006 oblong at 90 degees rotated from the parting line. Emailed him and asked about tolerances and the possibility of a replacement. Received a replacement mold that cast a ball .004 oblong in the same orientation as above. I have not had the heart or desire to go back to him again with the same problem. It would be interesting to see if any others have molds that cast oblong as mine do. Just may be that I am the lucky winner here.
