Ras, you've presented a wonderful little rifle...a work of art.  But a good portion of your photos did not reproduce, and that's a shame.  I'm sure we've missed out on viewing some amazing detail as a result.

Taylor, try hitting reload without leaving the page. I had to do it a couple times, but eventually saw all the pictures.
Best regards,
Dale

Really fantastic work on your rifle, Ras.
I've always been curious to try a 'cheek stock' (?) rifle.  How are they to shoot?
Thanks for the great photos.

Let me rephrase:  As the points of contact with the rifle are reduced from four to three with such a stock, how much does accuracy suffer compared to a shoulder-stocked rifle, i.e., is it difficult to steady the rifle when shooting offhand?

WOW ... Another masterpiece !!!   ;D
Many of them cried; "Me no Alamo - Me no Goliad", and for most of them these were the last words they spoke.

Swampwalker,
I have never fired a cheek gonne, but I have fired shoulder stocked flinters and wheellocks, and I have fired many pistoles of various ignition.  From this experience I would guess that there is no loss of accuracy.  I believe that with the stock in contact with the cheek but not with the shoulder would actually serve to eliminate some of the tendency to waver the gonne while sighting and squeezing he trigger.  Those old Germans of centuries past knew how to make and shoot firearms accurately.  If cheek gonnes were so prevelant I believe they actually enhanced accuracy.  However, this is just my opinion.  Others will certainly think otherwise.

Praktyka strzelania z policzka różni się od strzelania z ramienia ale w każdym ze sposobów potrzebny jest tylko trening. Kaliber lufy to 16mm więc sporo, wrażenia i siła ognia duża!

Valatpluvia, I think the persistance of cheekstock rifles after the invention of shoulder stocks had more to do with the conservative nature of people rather than any inherant advantage. Just my opinion, of course!  I might add that I would be eager to hear an opinion from anybody that has tried both.

D Taylor,

I didn't know about the reload trick.  Took three reloads to show all pics.

On my computer, Right click your mouse, third choice down is reload.  Your mileage may vary  ;)

Swampwalker,
It could be!  I would like to try it myself to see if my theory actually is worth anything.  think we could get Razpla to send it to us for a trial?
