Recent article in M Blasts described a rig that a shooter fabricated to pull a ball although somewhat over engineered it would be workable... I would suggest that any of you good folks out there in ML land that are in any way connected with setting up an ML range should consider the simple cheap and permanent answer to this....other than the co2 cartridge... Cut an L shaped section of steel attach it to a post or a handy tree fairly high with one heavy bolt or screw so the thingee can swivel a bit, also cut a slot in the horizontal section to allow the range rod to slip in. This permanent setup then allows the dry ball to be easily (kinda) to be pulled safely. It also does not depend on the fabricator to be there when the need to pull a ball occurs. It is certainly a good safety item...
