afternoon squirrel hunt
« on: October 28, 2011, 01:40:27 AM »
have been sick the last few days with a bad chest cold but it was really nice this afternoon and i could hear the squirrels whispering my name. made it out for about an hour and managed to scare up a couple, and the woods are beautiful. if i had'nt have felt so bad i would have stayed out longer.

David, that is a much more powerful medicine than any doc could give you.  Looks like an excellent hunt in beautiful timber to boot!!!!

Around  here, squirrel hunting is  somewhat understated in favor of deer  hunting, but I find it to  be highly therapeutic. The eating's  good too.

Nice Shooting.  Tell us alittle about that squirrel rifle.

What caliber / barrel lenght / etc.

Nate McKenzie built this rifle for me a couple years back and she is a squirrel killin' machine and a joy to shoot. single trigger, late Ketland lock,44" swamped Rice barrel.
