If you are interested in acquiring pfeil wood carving chisels I would recommend you visit:
http://www.woodcarvingbiz.com/
I just received more than a dozen pfeil chisels and it's Christmas in my shop. These prices are shockingly lower than any other pfeil source I've run across. And he also carries the "student" size...which I love. The student size is a hybrid of the regular chisels and the smaller palm chisels. They push well, and you can chase them when you want to.
I was stocking up for wood carving class with Jim Kibler at the NMLRA workshops in Bowling Green. Bowling Green is my best annual excuse for major tool purchases. That's how I found this source. Give them a look.

Those prices look about 30% off prices from Woodcraft. I just wish they had some pictures of the chisels closeup. Was the savings eaten up by import fees?

Thank you so much. I pieced together my first eight pieces from Woodcraft a couple of years ago and needed more. This helps when this economy stinks.

Thanks for posting this Stewart. I've purchased from them in the past and they were good to work with. Always nice to be able to save a buck.

Wish I'd known about them a year ago.

Exchange rate is almost no difference between USD and CAD:

Maybe it's time to annex each other's country.....

Micah, just look at the pitcures on the Woodcrafter site. The chisels I just received ARE pfeil chisels. And yes, I saved about 30% (including exchange rates and shipping) over everyother source I looked at. Couldn't be more pleased.

I just sent them an email, requesting prices on some gouges I don't happen to have.
