Tip Curtis visit

Hello all-

Just got back from my first visit to Tip Curtis's shop in Cross Plains and, I must say, WOW! I got a couple hour lesson on schools of building, metal hardening, metal finish, finishing and everything else under the sun. Also walked away with several of the highest quality parts I've seen so far. The guns he had available finished and in the white are superbly made. He is an extremely nice gentleman with a wonderful disposition. I recommend doing business with him. I know I will from now on (especially since he's only a 30 min. drive away!)

I haven't been there in a while myself.  I'm about an hour or so away.  Tip is a nice guy, has LOTS of stuff.   ;)
When a reenactor says "They didn't write everything down"   what that really means is: "I'm too lazy to look for documentation."

Does he keep regular shop hours or do you have to call in advance for a visit.

Do call before you go. He re-iterated that to me a few times. Appparently he travels a LOT to various shows and shoots.
