Yep, I talked to Mark and Linda 2 weeks ago and got the same answer. Like all of us, they have had other things to do. It wont be long before the barrels start getting shipped.

deHaas is one name I don't think I have ever heard of in my brief career. Anyone care to expound on deHaas barrels or the maker?

Mark has been making top quality barrels for at least 30 years, maybe 40. He does not do swamped barrels. Straight and Tapered  are his mainstay. He does smooth bore as well as rifled and does Octagon to Round or full octagon. He does 6 groove as a standard and will do 7 groove for us Hawken nuts at a premium.
The chunk gun shooters in the midwest love his barrels.

My chunker is set up with a "H.H. DeHaas" .50 cal x 48" At the time, I understood he made olympic match grade barrels as well as muzzleloader barrels. I was lucky to find this one years back when it seemed about impossible to get a barrel that long.

I don't think Mark has a catalog, but back in January, he had an end-of-year sale to thin out his inventory - 10-20% off.  He listed a page and 3/4 of rifle barrels and a page and 1/4 of pistol barrels, approximately 40 barrels per page or close to 120 barrels total.  First come, first served.  I bought two rifle barrels and two pistol barrels.

He had a number of octagon to round pistol barrels listed.  Some were straight octagon to round and some were tapered octagon to round.  Some had wedding bands, some didn't.  Some came with breech plug installed.

So Smith, I believe the answer is yes.  My suggestion is give him a call and see what he can do for you.  You definitely want to get on his mailing list in case he has another one of these sales.
