Very cool. Imagination run wild with in a certain historical time frame. Very fresh and inspiring.

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

I like it.  17th century stuff is just fantastic in my view and seemingly underappreciated.  A good example of a gun with style and appeal without being so detailed and time consuming to be near prohibitive. Hopefully 17th century interest is growing.

Is there a name for that barrel type/style?

I don't think the blog or any of the work posted there invites any unsolicited opinions on whether it is good, bad, or indifferent. Personally....... Gahagan's club butt fowler grabbed my attention!

That's no club butt, It's a Hudson Valley gun, and a good one too.

I repeated how they have it listed. Why don't you attempt to correct them?

The blog has been corrected (HUDSON VALLEY FOWLER). Please forgive us.  It's difficult posting seven days a week three hundred and sixty five days a year not to have an occasional error.
