Horn W/Two Bands
« on: July 03, 2012, 03:33:19 PM »
It is after another from the Kendall collection in Scott &  Cathy Sibley’s Building The Southern Banded Horn.
It is about 12” around the outside curve. The Walnut butt is about 2 ¼”, hollowed out about ¾ it’s length. It is held in by four wooden pegs that also hold the band. The band at the throat is held in place by three steel pins.

You know Tim, I am just not much on banded horns.  Typically, they do not do much for me.  This one, however, could change my opinion.
As always, a very nicely done item.  Bravo!!

Very nice, Tim.  I really like the simplicity of that horn.  It just calls to you.
