Hunts for Healing, Wounded Warriors guns
« on: September 26, 2012, 01:22:18 AM »
The guns are done, sighted in and presented to HFH, along with the bags, horns and accessories for use in an upcoming hunt starting October 17th.  They will be used again in a second hunt starting Jan. 2nd and hopefully many more hunts to come.

Thank you to all who donated parts and time in this very worth while project. More info about this organization can be found here, http://www.facebook.com/mpiccotti , here, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Hunts-for-Healing-Foundation/101781506136 ,and here, www.Huntsforhealing.org

In the picture below, left to right, is Wayne Blaker who built and donated the left hand gun, Jim Kille, a Wounded Warrior who participated in a past hunt and now volunteers his time to help HFH, Mindy Piccotti, founder of Hunts for Healing, Genati Cerrentino, another Wounded Warrior, and myself holding the gun Ed Wenger built.  The picture was taken at the lodge where the soldiers stay when they come to our events.

Mindy was in tears when we presented these guns, totally overwhelmed by everyone's generosity.

Thanks agin to all who helped.

PS, The gun built by Ed has a Charles Burton barrel in it, donated by Charles Burton. My first experience shooting a Burton barrel, one word,  sweeeeeeet!!!!

This is a beautiful program, Bill.

I'll donate some breeching and mill work to the next round, should there be another.

I personally want to thank all who donated black powder bags- horns and these awesome guns to "Hunts for Healing". I cannot express in words the love that has been shown by this action. I also want to extend an invitation to come and see the reaction when our injured service person interacts with these items, the emotion is overwhelming and extremely healing.
