Containers for my Mom
« on: October 01, 2012, 12:45:35 AM »
I built these for my Mom after I got my lathe. The first one was not as big a stretch as the second one. English walnut on the first, A piece of very figured Black Walnut on the second. The horn on the second is much thinner and translucent. I think these were made 8 years ago or so. Maybe 6 to 8 months apart.

That dark one almost looks like tortoise shell!

Wish I was willing to show my early attempts. Ouch.  :-\
