A fine late gun by gunsmith and author ( " Forty-four Years of the life of a Hunter"), Abel Browning.

The author of "44 Years" was Meshach Browning, Able may be a descendant.  Meshach certainly didn't write anything about being a gun maker in the book.

Looking for M. Browning --- Look to Keith Casteel, Bruceton Mills, Wv,. 5th grandfather back in his line and he has original guns and bags and info you might seek.
