sling for a mountain style rifle
« on: December 20, 2012, 02:54:18 AM »
I am in process of building a .32 caliber rifle for my 12 year old son. He has a neuromuscular condition which has left his thumb, ring and pinky of both hands without any muscular tone. Hence he has very little strength left in his hands to hold/carry a rifle (even the small rifle that I am building) for any length of time. I want to attach a sling to the rifle. But, the only sling swivels that I can find are the ones that TOW carries. I have seen these swivels before and they are plenty strong, etc. but, I was wondering if anyone here may have a better idea for a design. Thank you in advance for any ideas.

I'd get the young man out there and not worry about "detail's" TOW swivles would be fine, unless you just tie on some type of sling, completely southern OK!
