These carved, but somewhat crude, powder horns often come from eastern Canada, usually the maritime provinces. They generally have a rather crude butt plug and spout, often a scratch drawing of a ship, and lettering. This horn could be one of those horns due to its general appearance. While the horn apparently is being sold from Pennsylvania, it is a good practice to check where the seller lives, often up in Maine or Canada, since the horns are often sold as "American" horns, implying made in the American colonies, but are Canadian and do not bring the prices of American colonial horns.
