MY Shooting Bag
« on: February 17, 2013, 02:46:06 AM »
Well I got to looking the other day and realized that I didn't have a bag to carry to the vous that I made myself...

Yeah I am also a maintenance man, and I had a drippy faucet and a broken dishwasher up until yesterday too.

So I made myself a little pouch outta 3 oz veg tan. I put a double tapered gusset and some welts. The center welt is actually a little divider that is only half as tall as the bag. Wanted a little "dress up" on it so I did a little scalloped border on the strip holding the flap on. 1 1/4" wide strap with a forged buckle. All sewn with waxed linen of course. So, whatcha think?

Spotted Bull, Nice job on your bag.    What did you use to cut the scallops?

Times have sure changed. Gun control used to mean keeping the muzzle pointed in a safe direction

I have a couple different sizes of pinking irons. Then I used a hole punch for the centers.
