I haven't tried this yet. Just saw it in a flyer from WoodCraft.

Bloxygen

  • Save partial cans of varnish, stains etc. with one simple shot
    • Release a small amount of this inert gas into the container before closing
    • Forms a protective O2 barrier
Approx 75 applications per $11.99 container
Anybody tried it to keep excess Chambers Antique Oil Finish from congealing??[/list]

Hi Doc - I do have a can and use it. It works well when you open up a pint can of finish or larger but if you transfer a small amount (say one once) to a small vial and try to "gas" the small vial it does not work well.  It extends my supply can about 1.5 to 2 times longer than without the gas. Just don't keep opening and closing the can.  P.S. -- Doc, you still have that info / dwg on that Peter Berry you are building?? I will be accumlate the rest of my supplies in about two months and a drawing would sure be nice - thanks  :-* :-*
