What is the optimum heat source for blushing an AQ application?

I use a wagner Heat gun. The kind used for striping paint.

I use a paint stripper too but keep it on the low setting or its possible to scorch edges or relief carving.

Thanks for your thoughts. A friend loaned me his heat gun and I got the stocked blushed with no problem.
