hand saws
« on: January 05, 2009, 01:31:15 AM »
Considering the folks on here seem to love good hand tools, I will post this here and hope it is in the right section.

Has anyone here tried out the new Pax brand or Linx brand of new carpenters saws yet? I know they are a little on the pricey side, but if they work good I would be willing to spring for one soon. Also, what do you guys use as replacement blades for bow saws? Do you make them from bandsaw blades or is there a source for them that work better?

Highland Hardware is about my favorite source for my woodworking hand tools. Here's saws:

There are some good sites for making your own bowsaws and sash saws. I don't have 'em on the tip of my keyboard right now.
