Review of Museum entry of "unknown

It has been almost a year since the little rifle was added to the museum. I am hoping that someone, has in the meantime, seen something similat that might shed some light on this "unknown". The only additional information I can add is that it has smooth bore, full octagon, front and rear sighted, swamped barrel .

eddillon,
I have a rifle from Easton that has the same rear entry pipe for the ramrod, it has the little "nub". Unfortunately it is also unsigned, is the tang engraved by any chance? If you like I would send you pictures and you can compare.
