Today's Shoot at Brandywine

Brandywine Longrifles shot today and has a record number of shooters - 20.  This is about the maximum number of shooters that the range can handle comfortably.  There were 32 meat prizes for the eight events we shot and I came home with two packages of Hatfield Italian sausage.  This is good stuff and I cannot always find it at the two markets I usually shop at.  The prizes were pretty well spread out as 18 shooters made meat.

John Scott and David Wright ran the shoot and they came up with some challenging targets.  The candle target and the cat's paw were the two most difficult.  I had five misses at the candle flame and had a very impressive group - about the size of a quarter.  Still, it was a big fat ZERO.

Some of the first timers were shooters with two N-SSA units and they did reasonably well.  Two shot CW muskets and  three others shot percussion longrifles.  One brave soul shot a flintlock. They threatened to come back next month.

I am looking forward to shooting at First Frontier Militia tomorrow.  That is always a great shoot.  Nice weather is called for.
