Some Old Horns
« on: April 16, 2013, 03:45:51 PM »

The first pic is of a group of horns that showed up at the Lancaster, Ohio Trade Fair last weekend.
The second shows a larger horn that has been painted, the unusual aspect of it is that the lobe has been added, it reminded me of Leighbrad’s horn. I looked closely but could not tell how it was attached, I did not get a head on pic of the base but you could not see any attachment point there either, it fit the base just like the rest of the horn.
It was a good Trade Fair for the first year, a steady flow of folks both days. I look forward to next years.

with the nail where it is... maybe an S shaped piece of horn that is held in place by it fitting up against the base of the plug and that nail just to make sure of it.

Tim,
Nice looking group of horns. Glad the fair was a success but you were missed in Marietta. We have to try to coordinate dates better for next year.

How about the lip was dovetailed/fastened into the edge of the base plug first and then fitted to the horn as an assembly with the one nail as additional security.

I missed Lancaster and Marrietta? #@!! $#@*!!!

I really need to check the board more often.
Been busy making knives on my day's off. I have thirty orders to fill.
Remember the friction folder in Damascus?
I really wanted to hit Lancaster though
