Shot/ball bag spouts

Spent a busy weekend at the lathe.Got half way done with a batch of Shot/ball bag spouts.They are based on originls in the book Getting The Lead Out by Karl Smith.Most are antler but a couple are wood.They range in size from shot to .60 cal.Hopefuly get the plugs done next week end then they will be off to Eric Fleisher for the leather work.

 Jeez Mitch, are we thinking in the same dimension or what? Great turning and file work, very nicely done.

Thanks guys ;D Yea Tim I was suffering a bad case of "gunbuilders block" Cleaned the shop, then moved on to some tips. Now back to the guns. Turning is a nice change of pace.

Yes they are taper fit.I do my powder horn tips the same way.
