Raz, those are lovely holsters. It makes me happy to see work like this.

Some holsters are hanging in the shop's window in the upper right corner of image. Some of the holsters have a ball pouch attached.

On the wall above the files, it looks like an old shoe is repurposed as a tool caddy.

The guy on the right is using a pretty big wrench to set the breechplug. On the bench to his left are the taps and adjustable dies to form the breechplug threads. I wouldn't know what some of these things were if James W Everett hadn't posted his antique tools and methods.

Raszpla those are beautiful and well crafted sir. Would those be horse mounted or are they worn on the person?

I think those are the original horse pistol type holsters...ie:  those pair of pistols carried over the pommel of a saddle - one either side.

I agree with the consensus...great craftsmanship!

That is really great leather work!  :) :)  I like the woodcut that Acer shared as well!

These people need holsters in the worst way. I mean, fig leaves, really?

There is much to be gleaned from the old engravings and woodcuts about everyday life, tools and materials, methods of work, beliefs, etc.
