I am building a dubble 20ga flintlock.I had a machinest turn two pieces of cold rolled steel for the breech plugs
one has the plug part off center witch is 1 3/8" and has to be tapered to fit against the forcing cone. the large
part of the breech plug should be centered over the other barrel when tightened is far off and need to be moved
about 180 drg. any help would be welcomed. thanks, Bill Perry

Get the book "recreating the double bbl, gun"  by: W. Brockway.  Plenty of info in there for sure.

Bill, there is a tutorial on breaching SXS barrels That is going to help you where your at right now. It requires removing enough material from the face of the breach of the barrels  and filing down the face of the threaded section of the plug systematically together. You want the seating of the two surfaces to be at the same time. Lot s of back and forth till you have it in place. This is in the old Archives by Cody Tetachuk http://americanlongrifles.org/old_board/index.php?topic=19.0 great stuff.  I would second the Brockway book as a must have resource.

I do now have the larger breech plug fitted against the barrels, thanks for the info.took about 20 hr to get the fit
right. now working on the smaller plug. I have read W. Brockways that I borrowed from a friend and made copies
of parts of it. Dose not give some info that you have to figure out yourself. best Bill Perry

Glad to hear you got where it needs to be. Building one of these is on my to do list so it is encouraging to see some one jumping in on the project. Post some pictures for us yet to have the guts to give it a go. This ranks with building a swivel breach.

Bill, if you are building from a board, and have not cut the wood down to near its finished size, you can likely get away with inletting the barrels and breech tang.  I hope you have a drawing of the full sized thing...I wouldn't leave anything to chance, and just hope it works out.  Your best bet for a successful build it to wait 'til you have the pair of locks you'll be using, in hand.  Then add them to the drawing.  Then shape your stock.  Conversely, if you use TOW's catalogue and order the locks from them, you can make a tracing of the lock complete, and add it to your blueprint.  then you'll be very close when you finally acquire the locks.
