Blackley and Son service
« on: January 10, 2009, 12:13:03 AM »
I sent Blackley's a query about some parts yesterday.  Today they replied with the prices and the message that if I wanted to go ahead they were making waxes this evening for anything that wasn't in stock and were hoping to do the casting on Monday.   Sure beats my years of waiting on TRS parts orders.  As I said in a prior posting they have loads of stuff that isn't in either the paper catalog or the online version.  Case in point, the Barbar holster pistol butt cap, guard and sideplate I ordered in steel.  They are also glad to fill the engraving on their lock plates, etc. if you don't want to have to file most of the plate away to remove the old engraving.

Have dealt with Blackley and Son for many decades and found them OK sometimes they are a bit slow on deliveries which depends on the amount of castings for a pour.
I have received today two sets of  percussion shotgun hammers and a main and frizzen spring for a Egg flinter.

A month or two is not considered slow compared to the Rifle Shop. :)
