A rifle for my father, just recently finished it.
« on: August 08, 2013, 11:05:32 PM »
I just recently finished this rifle and intend to give it to my father as a way of saying "thank you" for all he's done for me throughout the years. God knows, LOL, I owe him much more then this but it's something.

My computer does not do "Facebook". I would like to see your fathers rifle. Thanks, AJ

I am working on one for my Dad as well. Just finished putting the first application of stain on the stock. His seventy eighth birthday is in eight days. Hope I can get it done. I couldn't open your pictures either. Like to see it.

Why not try a different photo hosting site like Photo Bucket to share with those that don't participate with Facebook?

Having to have facebook is going to deny many on this forum the privilege of seeing this gun.  Me included.  Enjoy, J.D.

You are right, I don't know how that happened but the first two pics are of a rifle I built and currently have for sale. The rifle I built for my dad starts 2 pics down.

Sir; Thanks for correcting the picture problem. The rifle you built for your father was well worth the wait "Outstanding". Thanks for sharing. Have a great week end. AJ

My fault.  I just downloaded some pix from photobucket.  Now that they are on photobucket it is an easy matter to put the photos on this thread.  When you click on the picture you want from photobucket, to the right of it you will three choices. Left Click on the IMG info.  The link will disappear, the little window turns yellow and says "copy". To put it on the thread, go to the thread you are working on, when the window comes up, right click on the blinking cursor.  Left click on the word "Paste".  The photo url appears.  Repeat for each photo you want to post.  By keeping the ARL thread and your photobucket open, it will take a few second and a few clicks to download several photos to the thread.  I'll delete them from my post, if you wish.;D

How much do you have on the rifle that is for sale?

The rifle that I have for sale is a .50 with Davis double set triggers and a large classic L&R lock, with a Green Mountain barrel and White Lightning touch hole liner. The gun is stocked in an outstanding piece of curly maple, the hardware is steel with some silver accents. All designs are from my own head. This rifle has been not been sighted in, only PROOF FIRED. It was built  especially for hunting and did not have a patch box put in it.
I am asking $2100.00 but all reasonable offers will be considered. You can contact me by e-mail : thec525@aol.com
Thanks for asking,
