Hello all, I found this rifle in a local gun shop was wondering if anyone might have more information concerning who made it and possible value.
http://s1291.photobucket.com/user/hinben54/library/?sort=3&evt=email_share&page=1The rifle has an octagonal upper rifled barrel in approximately .36 caliber. The lower barrel is octagonal to round smoothbore and approximately .69 caliber/20 Ga. I spoke with a few individuals who advised this rifle is definitely not a Leman rifle or Lancaster School rifle but most likely an Upper Susquehanna School rifle. There are some markings on the top of the barrel although not in the typical location behind the rear sight, these were located between the front and rear sights on the top flat.
I started to look on here and found a few rifles and markings which are similar in appearance including a rifle made by Charles Baum with a similar curved cheek piece and another by Baum, swivel breech, with the same barrel length(34") and a similar looking ramrod thimble on the left hand side (

I looked at a Samuel Laudenslager swivel breech and found a patchbox engraving somewhat close to what could be faintly made out on top of the barrel.
I don't know if this double rifle could be possibly made by a Baum or Laudenslager or maybe someone else. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
