Green Mountain 40
« on: September 03, 2013, 09:04:05 PM »
While I was doing some shooting with a new revolver yesterday, the wife was checking her sights on the
Little rifle she put together 16 years ago. It originally was a flint and I converted it to percussion. The
Barrel is a 1-48 twist GM 40. She shot this at 50 yds from sandbags. The first four shots on the left measures 1/2 inch center to center. She made a slight sight adjustment and fired the shot on the right
And says to me, IT'S  ON!! Women, what do you do with them? The load Goex FF 55 grs. Ball .410
Patch .022 Teflon coated. Yes, she pushes the ball down the barrel with just one finger on the ramrod,
Yes, she uses a small brass hammer to start the ball in the barrel, Yes she wipes between shots.

I thank God everyday for her. My wife shoots just like yours and I am just as proud. Where did you find a .410 mold?

A dangerous woman, perhaps; but a fine rifle for sure.
