T C Albert bag on THE blog

T C has a very nice game bag on the blog today. Nice work fella and you beat me by a week or so. We both got net fronts from my good friend and talented artisan Steve Radosevich in Kalispel MT about the same time. Kudos to Mr. Albert and Mr. Radosevich!

Any history on the original Boone  bag. I see the reference to the Nat Geo article.  Any web photos of it,?

As always....Tim's a great inspiration to us all.  Bet a lot of the folks here....would love to know the back story on the bag. :)

It is an awesome piece of work for sure. I would love to see one of Mr. Albert's great tutorials on how he put it together.
I think this may be a picture of the original, it was posted here once in another thread about game bags. It sure looks like it.

Thanks very much for the kind words about the gane bag...it was Steve's wonderful netting job that really made it...I had no idea how to make one of these, so I just improvised...to attach the net, when I sewed up the pouch I left an extra wide welt and sewed the netting to it...the decorative stitching on the flap is just simple saddle stitching through the two layers of leather used to make the flap...one layer is the back which is 3 oz veg tan overlaid with another layer of fine soft buckskin...

I really have no back story on the history of the original pouch, but would love to know more about it too...

Thanks again guys...
Here is a tutorial about how to do some of the decorative stitch work...
It was for a different pouch, but the techniques are the same...
