First Pistol Done
« on: October 22, 2013, 06:51:12 PM »
I just finsihed this pistol.  Still need to finish the ramrod.  The parts I got in trade from folks on here, I did buy the buttcap and trigger guard.  Made the front sight, sideplate, triggerplate and trigger.  It is a .50 caliber barrel, Small Siler lock, 13 inch barrel.  This was a tricky project compared to buidling the long guns.  A lot more issues of grain direction and careful measuring as always is key. A couple of rookie mistakes on it, but I am happy with it. I am sorry for the poor quality of the photos.  I will get some better ones.

I am gathering parts for my first pistol and would be proud to finish with a piece as fine as yours.  Nice job!
