shootwhatchabrung match

This is my baby. A shirtsleeve, all fun, no pressure, match, that gets those old, unshot, closet guns, out on the range. The targets are novelty stuff shot at close enough range that smallbore shooters, and pistol shooters can play too. individual matches are shot for different types of firearms, for gift certificates from local stores. The end of the match is a rope, or fence board, hanging from a frame with the prize, or certificate, attached to the bottom of it. everybody, and every kind of firearm, is welcome in this match. They shoot in rotation until, the rope is cut, or the fence board is cut, and  the prize hits the ground. A big pot of beans, or blackened peas, and a little homemade cornbread, serves as our good luck lunch. Give it a try, it a lot of fun. The last couple of years I have been giving away second hand muzzleloaders that have fallen into my possession, kind of a sneaky way to get some of those shell shucker guys into the game. Happy New Year.
