Anyone seen this patchbox before?

I have had this rifle for about a year and have yet to determine where or by whom it may have been made.  I think that it may be southern based on the long tang and the curled back triggers (front trigger is broke at the bottom).
I have tried to locate a box similar to this one and haven't had any luck.  There is no button to open the box.  It is held closed with a spring located under the finial.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.
