After three bouts of illness(on the fourth now), finally able to get out for real to start the rough in. Previously, I had taken two shots at 50 yards and was off paper....wind blowing every necessary accoutrament off the bench that was not nailed down, and ran out of time. So, went home and shaved off all that I dared of the front sight. Went back out today and decided to start at 25 yards. The balls were stacking right on top of each other, so she is a real shooter. With the sights at the same heighth I am still 3-4 inches low at 25 and about 8 inches low at 60 yards. So, back to the range for some more shooting and filing, but having lots of fun. I have decided that I'm in love ith Lehigh Valley Lube. The amount it reduces fouling and shortens cleanup seems dramatic to me. I got virtually no buildup at the breech as well.
oh yeah....sighted in my sons renegade at the same time with lots of problems but finally got it going . Lesson learned....one new rifle at a time!
