Sterling Silver Scabbard Throat
«

Just finished this one. All sterling silver. Main throat body is 20 ga.,1/32" SS, the entry cap is 12 ga.,1/16" Frog button is 8 ga.,1/8". The frog button stud is from 6mm SS thick walled tube with a SS washer as the base. This one made me a bit nervous knowing a mistake could be expensive. Still have to make the drag tip for the bottom of the scabbard. Pics were hard to take from all the reflection. Hope you enjoy a look.

Very handsome and great workmanship. For a hanger, sabre, cutlass, ...?

Great job Wick. The quality is no surprise as the set you made for my 1840's Sheffield Bowie were high quality. Woodhead & Hartley Style. The pictures turned out great. Thanks, Jim.

Beautiful fabrication and solder work. Precise. A lot of time and skill behind this piece.
