Octagon 1.45 x 1.082 = 1.569

There is a little black book. "POCKET REF" by Thomas J. Glover, sold at hardware stores around here. It has an answer to just about any question you could ask along these lines.    I carried one when I worked on offshore, and tug boats just to settle the arguments. $12 to $15, but worth every penny!
