Horn forearm cap

Looking for a thread here on the "HOW-TO" of installing a horn forearm cap on a half-stock build. This is only my second build ever, the first one being over 30 yrs ago. Would appreciate any direction on this. Thanks

Hi dlbarr,

Welcome to ALR, hope you enjoy your stay here.  I also had an extended "hiatus' between my first and second builds.  Be careful, it's addictive.

A search for "horn nose cap" in previous posts turned up the following from the Tutorial section....  http://americanlongrifles.org/forum/index.php?topic=5068.0

The tutorial is on a full stock, but may be helpful.  The search also turned up several other related posts with info that may be of interest.

Be well worth Buying a copy of Gunsmiths of Grenville County for the page in there on working with horn for nose caps.
