how to post pictures

What is the process for adding pictures to a new topic before posting the message?

In a nutshell ALR uses photos that are Max 700 pixels in height or width, the software will automatically resize photos that are larger but there may be some distortion so its best to reduce the sizes before loading them on a website.

Photos must be on a website, any website will work but most members use Photobucket. Once the photo is on a website you can copy the URL to the the ALR post like this: http://www.americanlongrifles.org/1-images-main/logo-header-sm.jpg (link to our longrifle logo shown on header) In order to get this photo to auto display simply highlight the URL then click the photo button in the "Add BBC tags" above the row of smiley faces. The photo button looks like a photo and is directly under the Italic button. After you do that here is how the photo is auto displayed :
