.75 caliber Cherry Fowler Gun

I just finished this gun. It has a 1.400" tapered to 7/8" round .75 cal barrel by 52" long.
Lock is a Chambers round face lock.
Brown Bess trigger guard, entry pipe & 3 forward pipes.
Tapered hickory ram rod with no threaded brass tip on it yet.
The gun is 68" long and tips the scale at 13 1/2 elbees.
The gun is not as dark and more red in real life.
I intend to offer it for sale in the near future but I'm still rubbing on it ATM. I'm just posting these pictures cause I'm a little proud of the gun. Sorry...

Beautiful gun! Love a fowler so stop posting pictures of them or I'll be yearning to make one darn it. Cherry stock looks great. What was your finish on it?

PPatch; The stock was sprayed with EasyOff then linseed oil & wax.

Nice colonial piece. I like the swell at the rear RR pipe, always have trouble with that myself, you did it well. It's just me, but I think you need to "unshine" your brass a bit to match the rest of the gun......you might knock it around a bit too for good measure too. ;D

I agree about the brass. It's all fresh off the buffing wheel. I could tie it on the trailer hitch and drag it around town. Maybe down to Gold Star Chili for a 5 way.

Looks nice,  rub some dirty patches on the brass after you shoot it and it will look just right.
